Can Conditional Formatting highlight cells containing any formula?

I'm developing a worksheet that calculates NETWORKDAYS for resource planning - copy attached.

Sometimes I know the start and end date of a contract and need to calculate NETWORKDAYS in column E.

Sometimes I know the start date and the number of contracted days but need to calculate the end date in column F.

I don't have any difficulty with the NETWORKDAYS formulas but to help me validate the data in E6:F14 I would like to highlight the cells to indicate whether it is hard coded or calculated. Is this possible?

    Thanks in anticipation?

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

Re: Can Conditional Formatting highlight cells containing any formula?

Obviously I didn't define my problem very well! Sorry folks.

IF any of the cells in the range E6:F14 contain a formula (any formula) I want those formula cells only to be filled with blue.
    AND
IF any of the cells in the range E6:F14 contain a number I want those number cells only to be filled with pink.

I want this to function automatically and at all times.

    Hope this helps!

Re: Can Conditional Formatting highlight cells containing any formula?

In Excel 2013 there is a new function that makes this easy: =ISFORMULA(...)

You're welcome. Thanks for the feedback!

    Hi Tony,

The function is working as expected but the name definition is not being saved with the workbook. Does the workbook need to be macro-enabled?

Yes, if you're using Excel 2007 or later then you'll have to save the file as a macro enabled file in the *.xlsm format.
