Consider the function below. Use Goal Seek to find the function zero considering as a starting value 0.5.

I made here and put in a cell the formula, in another 0.5 and in Goal Seek the value 0; this resulted in 0.0003.
Is it correct the way I used this function?

In the cell A2 I put 0.5 and in cell A1 I put = EXP (A2) -3 * (A2) and clicked on 'Function Goal Seek' with 'to' 0.
1. Then you did what with Goal Seek?
2. Under Excel Options > Formulas > Calculation options, Maximum Change -- what value do you see?
