    Dynamic Drop down Boxes

    Hi all,

I am looking to create a dyanamic drop down box so that the second drop down box looks at the first.

To use a simple example. I have 2 columns. Column A- Fruit, Column B- Countries

under column A, there are bananas (listed multiple times). In the corresponding column B, there will be the varous countries that bananas are grown in.

How would i create 2 drop down boxes so that when I select a certain type of fruit in the first drop down box, the second drop down box will only list countries that those fruits are grown in?

I would also like to ensure that the first drop down box doesnt include duplicate names of fruits.

Your help would be greatly appreciated

There is no reason to have (as in your example) bananas many times in columnA. One is enough.

Take a look at the attached file...

    Re: Dynamic Drop down Boxes

Thanks for the response. I probably haven't explained myself very well with that example. I'll stick to what im actually doing.

Please have a look at the attached.

    Dynamic Drop Down.xlsx

So if for example, I filter on "Class One" (on vendors), you'll notice there are muliple schedules relating to that vendor.

How would I create a drop down box so that when I select Class One, only the schedules relating to class one appear in the 2nd drop down box next to it?

And the same applying to any other Vendor I select in the first drop down box.

Unless I'm being a bit dim.... what I suggested does what you wanted. You would need to restructure your data a bit, though.
