Excel Spreadsheet Design Help - Golf Tournament

Would like help designing an Excel (Mac 2011) spreadsheet for a golf tournament.
Basic Information - 36 players, 5 courses with 4 different tee boxes
Calculation -
1. using the player index and course slope to determine the number of strokes to be given per course.
2. fill in the gross score and determine the net score and rank number.

Perhaps if you could give us some more detail on "the player index", "course slope" and how they would be used in calculations to determine the strokes it would be a good starting point for helping you out.

Hi MJM and welcome to the forum,

See the attached for how I've done this kind of thing in the past.

I have many Named Ranged and even a Dynamic Named Range to help with formulas.
I do the Standings using a Pivot Table and show Total Net, Average Net and Ranking. You can sort the Pivot table by any of the columns.

Hi BSB,

The golf formula for Net Strokes is the Slope / 113 * Player Index. There is a different slope for each set of tees on each course.

Thanks for the help, so far.
Enclosed is the start of the spreadsheet design without the formulas.
I will start working on a couple of the suggestions using the formulas (FORMULA tab) and suggested responses.
