    Conditional formatting issues

While using the sheet in which I had the doubts in thread http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...in-a-year.html, other issues have come up with it.

All of them regarding conditional formatting:

The sheet uses next birthdate cells to calculate the player age, and since they're youth players, I have a cell in which it is inputted the date in which he can be promoted to the senior squad. I have configured the cells to relate to one cell (the ideal promotion date, since this is about a U20 team, and that makes an ideal age to promote to exist), and turn the text red if the value is lower than that cell, and that cell value is the same to the other 300 something cells, so no problem with this one.

Issue 1- I want to make the text turn blue if the value is different from the next birthdate cell, since that will mean he can't be promoted at exactly 17 years and 0 days (they can't play in a senior squad before that age, and have to be at least a "year" in the youth squad before they can be promoted, and since some players pop up in the youth squad with more than 16 years, they'll only be able to be promoted with 17 years and several days in that case). I know the way to do it, the problem is that value changes, since it's the next birthdate. Is there any way to make that formatting by drag copying the cells or any other way, or must I format each cell individually?

Issue 2- What must I use to cases in which they're 17 year birth date is lower than the ideal promotion date but he'll only be able to be promoted after that date, cause he can't be promoted at 17 years and 0 days, and to which I would like the text to be green.

    Re: Conditional formatting issues

Conditional formatting would work for this if there is a column that calculates their actual age.
    1N73LL1G3NC3 15 7H3 4B1L17Y 70 4D4P7 70 CH4NG3 - 573PH3N H4WK1NG
You don't have to add Rep if I have helped you out (but it would be nice), but please mark the thread as SOLVED if your issue is resolved.

    Re: Conditional formatting issues

You can use conditional formatting in the column that has their age in it. In the column that contains the age, use conditional formatting for anything less then 17 to be red text, anything over 17 to be green text anything equal to 17 would be yellow text. You would also have to do anything equal to 0 to have no color/fill, otherwise your blank columns would be red. Of course you can change the color scheme to your liking.
