Formula to count specific items in a filtered table

Hi All,

I have a problem that I cannot solve using Google for one of the first time.

I have created buttons that add entries to a table with a text (promo, payout, etc) and the date.

I need a formula that counts specific items in that table after it is filtered, not counting hidden cells, but only counting rows with specific text (promo, payout...). So how many "promo" are showing, how many "payout", etc.

I found the following Formula, but I could not make it fit my purpose.
=SUMPRODUCT(SUBTOTAL(103,OFFSET(F12,ROW(F12:F1212)-ROW(F12),0)),(F12:F1212=”ABC”)+0) (this is a modified version of a formula I found many places)

If anyone can help? My table goes from F12 to I1212 (not including the header), but the words to count are in Column F. The information in other columns is strictly for filtering. There are 7 categories in total and the count goes from box B2 to B8 (one case per category).

Any help is welcome!
