Need help to know a forumla to calculate number of days falling in a year from a contract

I need help.
I need to know If there is any formula to calculate, for example, revenue to be recognized from a contract with value of $500,000 which has a duration from 7 May 2014 and ends on 7 May 2016. I want to know what is the revenue which should be recognized between 1 January 2015 until 31 December 2015.

There is slight issue with this one. For example If the contract value is SR 10,000 and duration is START 24 April 2014 and ENDS on 13 APR 2015 that means in the period between 1 Jan until 31 Dec 2015 we only need to recognize revenue from 1 Jan 2015 until 13 April 2015.
If I use the formula you suggested than It is calculating for the entire 12 months period.
Please advice.
