# Summarize total amount with different month

Hi All,

I try searching some old post and can't find anything suitable for me. Please advise.

I have my data here with two column, “invoice date” and “amount”. I wonder if there is a formula that I can use to summarize the total amount for January, February, March, etc…

a SumIF will work, but so will a pivot table.
