Basic Query, Please be Gentle.. charting secondary info

Hi all, just starting out and starting to get to grips with statements.

I have created a survey and am trawling through the responses.

One question asked had choice of 'Email' or 'Telephone' as the answer. the next questions was either a Yes or No answer, and then a follow on answer of Yes or No again,

what i want to do is count (across three seperate columns);
Email/Yes/Yes
Email/Yes/No
Email/No/No
Email/No/Yes
Telephone/Yes/Yes
Telephone/Yes/No
Telephone/No/No
Telephone/No/Yes

does anyone know what formula I could use? I can countif for the first column, but i need to then say;
'if column A= Telephone, then column B= Yes, then count it'
then
'if column A= Telephone, then column B= Yes, then column C= Yes then count it'

I know its going to be basic, innit?
