Is it possible to reverse the order in a cells "Drop Down List"?

Have numerous listing under lets say Sheet2 which has the "Drop Down List" pertaining to Sheet1 but I need the most recent dated items at the top of the list. Is this even possible? Sheet1 has the items in column A pertaining to "Drop Down List" in Sheet2. This A column on Sheet1 has may years of rows and columns of information that get transfered over to Sheet2 from time to time. The most recent and current entries are at the bottom of Sheet1.

We really need to see your workbook to comment with more certainty. Please upload and explain which drop down cells you are referring to and what you expect them to contain.

    Yes

What you would do is extract the items of interest into a new sorted list then use this new list as the source for the drop down list.

Having said that, it would be better if you could post a SMALL sample file and tell/show us what items should be in the list and in what order. We don't need a file with 100's of rows and dozens of columns worth of data. 20 rows a few columns worth of data is plenty! The emphasis is on SMALL!
