    Having the color of one row match the color of the row above it using a formula

    Hi!

    I am trying to get one row to be the same color as the one above it, and the one above it changes color based on the date of the worksheet. So as the top one changes, I want the one below it to change as well. Any thoughts? I know it is a conditional formatting issue, but I am not sure what to do

    Hi, welcome to the forum

    If you already have CF built into 1 row, then you could probably use the same rule for the row below?

    Give that a shot, if you still have a problem, upload a small (clean) sample workbook (not a pic) of what you are working with, and what your expected outcome would look like.

    The cell I am using to have them change color is a date. The one that already has CF is also a date. The row I am confused about is a number as text. So it is the current month (first cell), months Jan-Dec (row that has CF), and work hours per month (row that needs CF). So I need to link the work hours per month to the calendar months above it, which will both be linked to the current month.
