XIRR using a specified start and end date to determine which data needs to be included

Hi there,

I am looking to improve the way I am currently doing XIRR calculations, as at the moment it is manual, not laborious, but not scaleable.

The attached spreadsheet hopefully gives all the information required, but I summarise again here:

I have a column (E) which shows balances in account at certain, specified dates.

I have another column (B) which shows cashflows on certain dates.

What I would like to do is to say "Please calculate the XIRR between two dates that I specify in Column E, with excel including whichever dates and values it needs to from Column B depneding on whether they fall within (or equal to) the range outlined by the two dates I have specified from Column E".
