Simple conditional formatting not working

Hello,

I am trying to do really simple conditional formatting - =$AB1=1 then red fill. But it doesn't work in my file. It works if I copy data (few lines) to new worksheet, but not in my particular file, where I need it to work. Maybe someone can look at it and find the problem because I am getting crazy...

I need AC to fill red when AB=1

In your conditional format in formula Change =$AB2=1 as =$AB1=1
