Mirroring specific data from a range

    Good morning all

Attached is a report runner I use for reporting remaining tickets from a large number of spreadsheets. In "Unsold Ticket Report", cells A3:A1000 are mirrored from "File Name Generator" E2:E1000. Is there any way to filter out anything with specific text in the "Unsold Ticket Report"? I know the filter function can do this but only up to 2 specifics, I need several. Basically I don't want to run the report on any Australian files, so don't want to mirror any files that have "Sydney" "Melbourne" "Auckland" or "Brisbane".

Is there an easier way to do this other than manually removing the cells before running the report?

    Thank you

Looks like you already have a macro to 'RUN REPORT'. I'd recommend that macro have the code to filter out the venues you don't want.

BTW, is the Brixton Academey now called the O2 Academy? Saw The Clash there back in the day.

    Hi Pauley

I am complete macro newbie so not sure how to filter it out during the search... Is it a simple line of code?

Okay, well, let's keep it out of macros then. This seems to work: Paste this into cell A3 of the 'Unsold Ticket Report' sheet and then hit Ctrl-Shift-Enter (not just enter). This will create an array formula.

Then drag it down your sheet.

Hi Pauleyb, thank you for this, but I have just tried this and all that is happening is the first cell is changing font (still showing the Sydney event), and when dragged down just says "#NUM!"

I think its also worth knowing that the list of events in 'File Name Generator' has been moved to column D, I'll attach an updated version here.

Yep, you will need to change all those references to the E column in 'File Name Generator' to D. The num error sounds like you did not enter the formula as an array formula. You need to enter it with Ctrl-Shift-Enter.

Ok... so maybe one more problem. The list now removes anything under those keywords, which is great, but I can no longer sort by date in column B2:B1000?
