Preventing Old vouchers from Price changing with VLOOKUP

Hi, I am using Vlookup for my vouchers and one thing I came into notice that the prices in my old vouchers changes whenever I changed it in the code.

Can anyone help me from preventing the old voucher to change prices?
I also want the new prices in my new vouchers.

    Thanks

Re: Preventing Old vouchers from Price changing with VLOOKUP

Hi, I m using Vlookup for vouchers.
and whenever I changed the prices in the code spreadsheet, the price in my vouchers (which are already printed) changes.
Is there anyway I could do so the price won't change in them but the price changes in new vouchers

Re: Preventing Old vouchers from Price changing with VLOOKUP

Vlookups are dynamic so if you change the lookup value it will change the results of the formula. The only ways I know of to stop this are:
    1) print the voucher as it is before changing the reference sheet.
    2) keep a duplicate sheet as reference, then when you've finalized a voucher do a copy >> paste special >> values and that will lock in what the numbers were at that time.
    3) go to the file tab >> options >> formulas >> calculation options and change it from automatic to manual - though I'm not sure how that will help.
There may be a VBA option but I don't do VBA and others may have input for other options that are not occurring to me.

I Guess it's the only way I could solve. Thanks I tried that and it's not very hard to do.
