Question I have NO CLUE as to how to setup an option button in Excel 2002 SP3

I'm sorry. I hope I placed this in the correct folder.

I've tried to search, but don't know what keywords to use. I looked up a video on YouTube on option buttons, but it pertained to Excel 2010, and looked nothing like Excel 2002. I need some help please. I attached a file to give an idea of what I'm trying to do. If you can help me, I will appreciate it, and sing at your next wedding.

    Help?

    Hi Bryan,

Each option button belongs in a group. You have all your options buttons in a group called Sheet1. When you click on any of them it turns all the others off that are in that group. You need to go into design mode and select all 5 buttons on Row6 using your control+click. THEN you need to find the Properties Dialog for all these selected controls. I'm not sure where that is in the 2002 version. NOW - find the "Group Name" row in the Properties Dialog and change it from Sheet1 to Row6. Get out of Design Mode and click on one of these row6 buttons. Create new group names for all those on Row7 etc. This will allow you to set a option button on each row.

I'm working on the number to the right. See if that makes sense..
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    OK Bryan,

Using Option Buttons looks cool but you need to go through Shape Objects, tied to cells and properties and groups to make it all work. How about an easier method. Find on sheet 2 a much easier way. Double click on any of the cells in your range and it will put an X in that cell, and give you the correct value in column I. Look behind the sheet VBA to see the code that does this magic. AND it doesn't need all those groups or buttons.

Double Click for X instead of Option Buttons.xls
