    Comparing a Column to a row and returning matching cells

    Hi,

    I'm basically trying to compare a control set of data in a column on one sheet to a row of data on another sheet, to return how many cells match in ascending order.

    "Round Fixtures" shows the column of numbers used as the control/criteria

    "Round 1" has the Rows of cells for each person being compared to the "Round Fixtures" criteria figures , returning the number of matching cells (in ascending order) in the K column.

    Currently I'm using =COUNTIF(B6:J6,'Round Fixtures'!A2:A10) and that works fine until I get to the 10th set and it just stops returning a figure =COUNTIF(B11:J11,'Round Fixtures'!A2:A10).

    Any suggestions would be a big help.

    EDIT: For some reason my work computer isn't allowing me to upload the images correctly so i'll just attach the workbook and rewrite the post.

    Assuming that K2:K10 were your expected values, paste the following array formula* into K2:

    You'll get a #Value error so;
    1) Press the F2 key,
    2) Press Ctrl, Shift and Enter simultaneously,
    3) Double click the fill handle to send the formula down the column.
