Formula for fastest & slowest lap time in a race

    Hi

I want formulas to calculate the :

    1) slowest lap time
    2) fastest lap time

from a list of 4 lap times

    Example :

    lap 1 - 00:05:00
    lap 2 - 00:05:30
    lap 3 - 00:05:10
    lap 4 - 00:05:45

so the slowest lap would be 00:05:45

and the fastest lap would be 00:05:10

the formula should be separate for the slowest and the fastest but the list would be one.

    many thanks

    cyran

times are just numbers (if properly written), so you can use MAX for slowest and MIN for fastest lap, like:

    c1=TEXT(MIN($B$1:$B$4),"uu:mm:ss")&" - "&TEXT(MAX($B$1:$B$4),"uu:mm:ss")
Notice my main language is not English.

PS. If it is more complicated than that consider attaching a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments link (it is just link, not a button) to open the upload window.
