2 Lists - Compare Supplier, open Orders and Payment terms

    Hi Guys,

I have 2 lists and I need to bring them together. (They are in one spreadsheet)

    List 1:
    A
    Vendor Number
    B
    Vendor Name
    C
    Purchase Order Number

    List 2:
    A
    Vendor Number
    B
    Payment terms

Now I want that Excel compares the Vendor Numbers from list 1 and 2 and if they match then Excel should transfer the Payment terms from List 2B to my List 1...new column D so I have all information in one list.

Does anyone knows the right Formular? I am not very familiar with excel and especially not in English

Any help would be more than appreciated.

    Warm Regards
    Leo

Included in the attached are two methods of accomplishing this.

In the yellow cells I've used VLOOKUP
In the green cells I've used INDEX/MATCH

    Hope that helps.

Thank you very much BSB for your quick response. Both work for the first row but all others show me #N/A

Is it a problem if the information is in two different Worksheets? I used the $ symbol as in your list.

Have a look at the attached with the tables in different worksheets.
Check if your formulas are anywhere near this in construct.

If you still cannot get it to work, post your formula and perhaps we can spot where it's going wrong from there.
