Market basket analysis formula

I know almost nothing about Market Basket Analysis, other than I know it is much more than one formula. As a broad topic, it is probably more than is practical for a single internet forum post. Your file contains a table of data, but no beginnings of an analysis, so we cannot really tell what part of implementing affinity analysis you are having difficulty with.

When this topic comes up, I usually point people to a few resources.
Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Market_basket_analysis ) has a short introduction. In the references and links is at least one tutorial that focuses on doing these analyses in Excel.
I see this from Microsoft (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn282369.aspx ). I don't know if this is built into the newest versions of Excel or exactly how this utility works.
This video for 2007 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_W7iOmIdaQ ) talks about a data mining add-in (maybe that is what the previous link is referring to?) for these.

Beyond that, put "market basket analysis excel" into your favorite internet search engine and you should get many hits.

After doing some of that research, if you have specific questions about implementing parts of the analysis, we will be glad to try and help with specific parts or formulas that you get stuck on. It's possible there is someone here who is willing to tackle the entire problem, and they are certainly welcome to. In the meantime, I would suggest these links as starting places for your research.
