running totals for genders

Good Afternoon

I have a range of names on a "Data" sheet and bunk/bed assignments on "Current_Bunking" sheet

I have two cells with the following formula, one is "F" and the other is "M"

Is there a way to reduce this formula?

Try

=SUMPRODUCT((Data!$D$3:$D$350="F")*(ISNUMBER(MATCH(Data!$C$3:$C$350,Current_Bunking!$AE$3:$AE$36,0))))
