Question vlookup with a few variables

If someone could please tell me what I have done wrong in the formula column of the attached worksheet. I have put in red what should be in the formula column, but I have apparently done something wrong.

    Thank you!

    Hello Kimberly

Perhaps you could shorten your formula to:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

This seems to give the desired result.

Re: vlookup with a few variables

Thank you, that worked, but how does a COUNTIF work in that formula?

Re: vlookup with a few variables

It checks if there's a count of A2 in the list in J2:J5. With the IF function, a number greater than 0 is seen as TRUE so the concatenation of A2 is returned. If the count is zero then the FALSE argument is returned, here the value of A2 without any concatenation.

    Hope that makes sense.

Thank you for the rep mark.

It does, thanks so much! I never knew that about a number greater than 0 is seen as True, I thought you had to put true or false in.
