What is the easiest method to organize daily data/percentages to a monthly percentage?

Column A is dates. Columns B:D are headers. Columns E is totals. B:D=E. So on June 1st, you have 5,3,2, = 10. So 5=50%, 3=30% and so on. Repeated every workday (different values) and then be able to see what the monthly average would be for each.

I can do it via a pivot table, but that requires the data on another sheet to be crammed together and confusing at first look because the pivot requires columns F:H to be daily % to be able to accomplish this.

I just want something clean and simple that someone who doesn't know excel can use and understand. Any ideas?

I don't get it - sorry! Please explain the attachment - what exactly are you trying to do? Could you reattach the example sheet and perhaps indicate in colour where you want things to appear and show where they are coming from? There are three tabs in the workbook and absolutely no notes from you at all!

Re: What is the easiest method to organize daily data/percentages to a monthly percentage?

Sorry, not real sure how to explain more. A = Dates, B:D are categories, E=total of categories. I want to know that B2 is % of E2. and So on. Then to have that on a monthly scale. The worksheet Example gives you N:O which does that, BUT that just shows it for that day, it doesn't tell you what the % was for the month of June.

Typically a pivot table would work, but to do a pivot table, my original data has to look like sheet 1, which if you don't know excel, is a lot of data to see and is not simple friendly.

So basically, "Example" is what I want, but in a clean format that will show monthly average totals as well. Does that help?

    Shane,

What we are looking for in a sample is not your words to explain it, but a before then a SOLVED after. So you can show us with hand typed numbers if you have to, or ONE formula for ONE particular example and ask how to make a formula work for ALL examples.

Take a look at what I posted in your thread from yesterday and see if that works.
