    Simple Conditional Formatting question

    Hello Friends

I need a Conditional Formatting help.

It may be simple but I could not able to do it.

In this Sheet for first 3000 rows in cells A1:A3000 if 0 (zero) is there then the entire row should be light yellow color.

For example if the cell A20 = 0 then the entire row 20 should be light yellow color as shown.

    thanks in advance
    Sekar

An entire row has 16,384 columns.

Are you sure you want to format all those cells?

    Hello Tony

Thanks for your post. Sorry for my late reply.

No upto 3000 rows enough, if any where 0 if present in cells A1:A3000 then that rows will be need to light yellow color by formula. Most of the cases 0's in cells A1:A3000 will be repeated.

    Re: Simple Conditional Formatting question

    Try this...

Let's assume the range of interest is A1:J3000.

Select the ENTIRE range A1:J3000 starting from cell A1.
Cell A1 will be the active cell. The active cell is the
one cell in the selected range that is not shaded. The
formula will be relative to the active cell.

    Goto the Home tab>Styles>Conditional Formatting>
    Manage rules>New rule>Use a formula to determine
    which cells to format

Enter this formula in the box below:

    =AND(ISNUMBER($A1),$A1=0)

    Click the Format button
    Select the desired style(s)
    OK out
