Formula for counting values in different columns/rows

Hi all,

I need assistance in sorting out the following:
I have column A that contains several fields, like apples, bananas etc.. on each row of this column i have another value containing the status, for example purchased, not purchased.

I need a formula that can tell me how many apples were purchased and how many were not.
In the attachment its much clearer.

Attached is the real file i'm working on and basically at the bottom table I need to insert the formula in D23 that tells me how many times the word "charting" in column C has been closed in column H.

Hi Emirates,

The issue was that the string used in the counting range and criteria was not same ( additional spaces maybe)..
Check the attachment.

Hi Chullan88 thanks for the file, it works fine when the field selected is "Charting" but when i copy the formula on the lower fields it does not work.

Thanks a lot for that, it works perfectly well but the only frustrating part is that it works only for charting and Flight Dispatch... does not work for Flight plan, FMS, ATM although the same formula is applied,
Any thoughts?
