Need to Show Min and Max date within Filter

I am looking for excel functions for cell C2 and D2. I am looking for an equation that will find the min and max date when a filter is applied.

So if I put a filter for just October dates, I would want the first date in October that we have in column A shows, and the last date in October in cell D2.

For the first date in oct (month based on filter),

Also, it's better that you have these formula on row 1...i.e. F1 and G1 etc, so that when you filter the month, at least you'll be able to see the results.

The subtotal function does not take the filter into account. Even if i filter just for one certain month the subtotal function gives me data from the whole data set.

Did you try the formula that I wrote above?

Because I tried an it works.

Do this:
on cell F1, copy and paste formula
