Count number of cells from one match to another match on a different sheet

I'm having an issue trying to come up with a suitable formula for a task I need to complete. My Excel is relatively weak and the task is fairly complex!

Below is an example of what I'm trying to accomplish

I have 9 items on "sheet 2"
I would like an "item number" on sheet two to Vlookup that number from sheet 1 I want it to tell me how many cells over it was until it reaches the last data entry in that row and tell me how many cells it was.

If the item is the same as the last entry then return text "correct" and if it doesn't match then return how many behind and red.

I'm guessing some kind of vlookup, and a count with conditionally formatting but no idea how you would find the last data entry and combine this all into one statement and then replicate it down should I want to add say another 500 items.

Please upload a sample of your workbook, not a picture of your data. Pictures are pretty much impossible to edit, and no-one wants to re-type your data for you
Also, not all members can upload picture files (Company firewalls and stuff) - and, depending on what browser is being used, some pics dont even show up on the forum

Your workbook should show a small desensitized example of the data you are working with and a manual mockup of the expected results.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

Please upload a sample workbook, not a picture, to the forum. Bot everyone will access file sharing sites and a picture is pretty useless anyway.
