I'm looking for forumla that will look up sheet name in one workbook and find that sheet in different workbook. When it finds it I need to find corresponding name in row,and corresponding account number in columns and provide me with value in that cell.
Any ideas appreciated.

Without the sample workbooks, and without using VBA, this will be more difficult to accomplish, but it doesn't sound impossible without seeing the data. Look into using INDEX/MATCH along with INDIRECT. Note that both workbooks will have to be open at the same time for a value to be populated.
