    Auto Copy Info from Once Cell to Another at the End of the Month

    Hello,

    I am trying to create a formula that will take data from one cell (that constantly changes) to another at the end of the month to show the history of the data month to month. This is what I am trying to do:

    A B C D E
    1 # of Entries # of Missing % of Late March #'s Feb. #'s
    2 113 12 9.73% 9.73%, 12 MISSING
    3 109 13 10.09% 10.09%, 13 MISSING
    4 95 17 13.68% 13.68 %, 17 MISSING
    5 98 6 14.29% 14.29%, 6 MISSING

    The values in A2:C5 automatically fill in from another sheet and constantly change day to day. The values in E2:E5 I have to manually put in at the end of the month. I am looking for a formula that will automatically take the information that is in Cells B and C and copy them into Cells E and hold that value at the end of the month. By hold I mean that it will not change once the end of the month happens even though the B and C cells values will change. We are trying to track the percentage from month to month. Even if they can't put both values in 1 cell, a formula that will take at least the value that is in Cells C and copy and hold the information would be great.

    I am trying to do this with a formula if I can as I have never used macro's before and don't even know where to begin with it. But any help would be appreciated so that I don't have to do this by hand for over 400 rows. Thank you in advance.

    Writing a formula in E that remembers a past value from B and C while B and C change doesn't sound feasible. Does the source sheet that you're drawing A:C's data from retain previous months' data? If so, we can probably use a formula in E to pull the necessary information from your source sheet, so A:C can reflect daily changes but E will be based on date totals in your source sheet. If the previous months' data is NOT retained in your sheet, a VBA/macro solution might be a possibility. Regardless, it would be much easier to explore solutions if you could post a small sample workbook (Use: Go Advanced --> Manage Attachments); just be sure to alter or remove any sensitive data.
