Update line if a cell has specific value

Hi
I have a large sheet of data and some of the lines are corrupted, that is some of them are the right values multiplied by x2,x3 and so on.

Like you can see on the picture, lines 4 and 5 are just right but lines 3 and 7 are the original values multiplied by *2 and line 6 multiplied by *4.
What i want to do is to update lines 3 and 7 by divideing them by /2 and line 6 by /4

Probably for you it is obvious that lines 3 and 7 are the original values multiplied by *2 and line 6 multiplied by *4.
For me - not.

So to help you effectively I shall know how to recognize such situation.

Probably it will be easier if you attach a sample workbook, not a screenshot.

Just to give you a simple tip (may be this is enough):
write in an empty cell 2,
copy this cell
select all cells which shall be divided/multilied by 2 (use Ctrl to select multiple cells with a left-click)
Paste special into these cells using multiply/divide_by option see http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/mic...ting-in-excel/

When I think about it you are right, it may not be as obvious to you.
But all the values in column L should be equal to 235,000, and from that you can see that line 3 and 7 is multiplied by x2 and line 6 is multiplied by x4
I have a few files that all have 500+ lines and I want to find a way so that I can let excel choose what cells/lines should be divided, it will take so much time if I have to select them all one by one

And what is the content of L3...L7 - is it formula related to M3:O3?

Anyway a standard suggestion shall help us:

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

After you verify the result, you can select all G2:K500 (assuming 500 is last row), copy and paste special as values into A2:D500 and delete columns G:K
