Count which includes multiple columns including multiple criteria

Hi

I was hoping someone might be able to help out with some excel wizardry!

I am wanting to create a table that 'looks at' multiple columns and there are multiple criteria within in each column I want it to check.

The first column is whether it is BW1 or BW2 (as I will be creating a different table for each of those)
The second column holds the data information (so that I can separate it by financial year)
and the third column contains the application status as seen in the table below

I thought it might be along the lines of a COUNTIFS function but its way beyond my excel knowledge, as everything I've tried in relation to that hasn't worked!

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
