Sum Visible Cells in Row (but not all, only certain ones)

    *EDIT: SOLVED*
My indv totals in the column need to also have subtotal -- that way the grand total won't include then in the totals

*edit: in column, not row, sorry

    Hi,

I know you can use the Subtotal/9 function to sum visible cells in a filtered column, but what If I only want to sum certain visible cells of that column.

In my column, I have numbers in a section, and totals for each section. At the bottom, a a grant total cells cell which ads up all the totals for each section.

In the Grand Total cell, I only want to sum the totals, and not the whole column, or else I'd be double counting

    Does that make sense?
    Can you assist?

    Thank you!

Upload your workbook. Edit post, advanced, manage uploads. Manually enter in your expected outcome values and someone will write the formula

Attach a sample workbook (not a picture). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
