Excel 2013 - How to find data compared two dates

    Hello

Im trying to create a master automated spreadsheet in which my work place can drop data inside and it would generate graphs/tables for a particular month/year.

Unfortunately I'm stuck on one last bit, so the data that is imported into this has OPEN and CLOSED dates (now these can be open for many months even overstretch to next year) the CLOSED dates could also be blank since it means it's is still open.

So I have a table with the MONTH/YEAR the user wants to find going back monthly for a whole year i.e.; SEPT-2016, AUG-2016, JUL-2016.... (These dates can change depending on the user's input)

So I would like to find out for each month ^^ how many of these data is open during this month. (Not created in the month or closed in the month).

Any help on this would be great.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

This thread can now be resolved.
I managed to find the open count between open and close dates for each one of my data by using COUNTIF and OR statements.
