Insert multiple texts in sum function to label what figures are for

I am wanting to add numerous texts to a cell inside of a sum function to label what each figure is for so I can do research in the future.

Example:

I normally do =sum(800+900+90) These would be for "structure" "doors" "windows" etc. I would still like only the number to show up in the cell, but when cell is clicked on, it would show the text as well as numbers for backup purposes. I need to also be able to have the end resulting number be in currency if possible.

=sum(800"structure"+900"doors"+90"windows")
Answer in that cell would be $1,790
