Lookup two column for matches and return largest values from third column

    Good morning everyone,

I need a formula that will lookup two ranges for matches and return list of largest values from the third range.

Please have a look at the attached sample spreadsheet. Many thanks.

Please include your expected outcomes in the workbook - add these manually. Thanks!

    With a helper column

    Try

    E2
    Formula: copy to clipboard

...confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer.

    Then

    F2
    Formula: copy to clipboard
