Exclamation Summarizing data from a Column

    Hello,

I would appreciate your help in this.

I have a column with different values as shown in the image.

    2017-08-31_1421_001_001_001.png

I need to do 2 things.

    1. A formula or command to return all different values in this column, for example:
    Order new device
    Disconnect...
    Transfer....
    etc.

    2. A formula or command to count how many occurrences of each case:

    Order new device|5
    Disconnect|6
    etc.

Please let me know if any clarifications is needed,

    Thanks a lot in advance,

    Hi lps.

If you click anywhere in your column and then on the Insert Tab and then on "Pivot Table" you will get a dialog. Click ok and then drag "Activity Type" to Rows and also to Values.
This will give you exactly what you want.

If you attach your sample workbook, we can do it for you also. It is really about a 5 second problem, if you use Pivot Tables. No formulas or VBA needed.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.
