Try this in O4:
=IF(M4="","",SUMIF($A$4:$A$10,M4,$E$4:$E$10)+SUMIF($G$4:$G$10,M4,$K$4:$K$10))
Try this in O4:
=if(m4="","",sumif($a$4:$g$10,m4,$e$4:$k$10))
Thank you for your help. I've copied down and across your formula and as you can see, Black, Purple, White and Green is correct but not Yellow or Black.

Yellow is correct (6+6+8+6=26), but black isn't because it has a trailing space after it in the results table.

M6 has a space after Black. Delete that space.
Why do you think that Yellow is incorrect?
The values for Yellow are: 6,6,8,6
6+6+8+6=26
Why is yellow 14?
Please tell us why you are not satisfied.
Tom is only accounting for one of the yellow rows, where there are in fact two.
I hadn't realised that I had included Yellow more than twice. Sorry, my mistake. Thank you also for pointing out the trailing space after the Black.
