Running Total?

I simply want one cell to update new info, as per below:

Balance Payment New Balance
10 5 5

I want the "Balance" column to update to new balance after each payment. I know it has something to do with running totals...

I used to be good at Excel but have not used it in 10 years!

I'm jeff, and brand new here.
