IF Then Statement w/ 2 Vlookup formulas

I am needing assistance with writing a Vlookup formula. I have 2 files in which I need to match up two cells on the file and when they match I need them to look at another cell and then bring back the amount.

Example: The formula needs to find 123 on both sheet 1 and sheet 2... .then when it finds that, it needs to find 543 on both sheets within a group of rows that all have 123 and then once it finds the match of 543 on sheet 2 it needs to bring back the dollar amount in another cell on sheet 2.

I don't have a simple example to attach at this time but if it's needed, please let me know. I'm sure my explanation isn't real easy to follow.

Much easier with a sample. Even if it's only a couple of lines showing sample data and the expected result.

See if this is something you could use.

Joins the Code and account together and makes this the lookup key.

Re: IF Then Statement w/ 2 Vlookup formulas

In D2, copy down and accross:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
with month display as Jul-14 (mmm-yy) in Tab 1 and 07/2014 (mm/yyyy) in Tab 2; code format as 00XXXXX in Tab 1 and XXXXX in Tab 2

The formula must be neater if month is first date of month (1/7/2014 and displayed what ever you want) and the code is the same between 2 sheets.
