    Looking for an Excel formula to capture a hierarchy of values and pull associated cells

    In Excel, I am trying to capture the maximum, second maximum, third maximum, etc. values from a vertical range. Then I would like to select the cell that is 2 columns to the left as the corresponding value to present in the formula cell. Is this possible to do in one formula? If so, will someone please assist me with this. So far, I've tried the following, but it isn't working for all of my ranges.

    =MAX(OFFSET(INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(),COLUMN(B248:B250))),0,0),D248:D250)

    Thank you in advance to anyone that can help.
