Index & Match not returning expected result

Hello. First time post.

I am struggling with this formula. I have a table (Table1) that shows sales results for 9 persons over a year. The 9 persons are split into 3 teams of three and I want monthly results for each person so I can generate an annual team total. The formula seems to work ok for January for each person but for every month after that (other than June) it is returning either an error or an incorrect total. The only change is the month in the 2nd MATCH formula. Can anyone help. I have included an screenshot. Thanks in advance.

You can use SUMIF

Your last match seems to be oddly formulated too. No 0 for exact match, and match feb in jan:dec is a bit redundant, you could instead just use column number since it doesnt move around. This could be static or you could use the COLUMN() function.

I dont see SUMIF working by itself here as there are 2 criteria, person and month and its also not looking for month on the same row but in the headers.

Can you post a sample file?
