    (little) problem merging columns

    Hello,

I am not an Excel expert and would love a little help:

I have a very basic table with only 3 columns: keywords, names, and production stages. I need some kind of action that simply combines the first two columns; is it possible with Excel? We already tried something, but Excel keeps cropping the kids' names (second column).

    For example,

    ORIGINAL FIELDS

    nicer liam print
    nicer charlotte design
    kinder amalia design
    kinder ava print
    nicer michael print

    SHOULD BECOME

    nicerliam print
    nicercharlotte design
    kinderamalia design
    kinderava print
    nicermichael print

    BUT BECAME

    nicerliam print
    nicerchar design
    kinderama design
    kinderava print
    nicermich print

Does anyone have any idea why it is happening?
    Thank you!!

You didn't tell us what you tried...

=A1&B1 will combine the cells without any truncation.

=A1&" "&B1 will do the same, inserting a space between A1 and B1.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You should insert a new column D and concatenate the A:C cells e.g.

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Thank you all so much
We decided to create a new file from scratch and simply paste the original data. Your formulas worked perfectly!

    Thank you!!
