    Re: Search for client

The way you have it set up, you have to use a macro. I have changed your setup slightly so you can do it with formulas.

Enter either a client number or a name in E3, and the result will appear in F3.

    Hi TMS,

I will test youre code, but the clients number and names are in another sheet that is called "Kunderegister". Clientnumber from A5 and down, and names from B5 and down.

I gues it is this line I have to modify, but how?

Hope to hear from you again, and thanks for all youre help so far.

Thanks for youre reply 6StringJazzer, But I can not use this at my register. I will save the formula so I will be able to use it in other cases.

That was not indicated in your sample workbook.

If you want a realistic solution, you need to post a realistic sample workbook. We can't make this stuff up ...

    Re: Search for client

    Hi TMS,

I am sorry that the samplefile was not complete, but I thought that if I could get some help with the code, I would be able to modify it for my purpose.
I have attached another file that will work with my original workbook.

The original workbook contains to many personal data to post on this site.

    Best regards

Note that : 1.If you're using Excel 2010 or later, click File > Options > Formulas. If you're using Excel for Mac, click the Excel menu, and then click Preferences > Calculation.

If you're using Excel 2007, click the Microsoft Office Button , click Excel Options, and then click the Formulas category.

2.In the Calculation options section, select the Enable iterative calculation check box. On the Mac, click Use iterative calculation.
