Deactivate a formula or an equation with time

    Hi to all,

What I need may sound simple and with your help I'm sure for solution. I have a cell G7 with an equation linked to cell G4. However, I would like to deactivate the equation in cell G7 once the time has exceed 11:41:44 for example (9/25/2018 11:41:44 AM) with the value in cell G7 retained as value only.
Your help will be highly appreciated.

The only way to change a formula to a value, for any reason, is manually or using VBA.

You'd need to use something like a Change Event handler, or a Selection Change Event handler, or maybe a Calculation Event handler. Whatever, it would need to be an event that you could virtually guarantee would fire soon after the criterion has been met.

You could, in theory, use an iterative calculation - but they're generally bad news.

this obviously assumes that the Time constraint is agnostic of day (i.e. resets daily).

TM, thanks for the info. I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be straight forward.
