Wink INDEX & MATCH function to return a custom CONCATENATE that changes based on duplicates

    Hi there
I have found a old thread where "daffodil11" showed a way to find duplicates this seemed to fit my criteria well but I just can not seem to get the exact result I am looking for.

I have a large list of sites on worksheet HOST LIST, I want to return the sites Host Name based on the matching site name provided in column E, due to some sites not being on the Host List yet and having backup services they will have 2 entries in column E so I need to create them with a 1 or a 2 so that the results contain no duplicates. the formula is used in column D2 and copied down.

Below is my current formula and it works if I point it to column to but then if it has duplicate entry the formula only returns 2 for those Host Names

    Formula looking at column D
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Results = All Host Names with duplicate entries contain -2

    example attached.

Please let me know if you need any more ifno.

    Thanks

The upload does not resemble the description(s).
    1. There is no worksheet 'HOST LIST',
    2. there are no formulas in columns D or E,
    3. there is no indication what direction (which sheet / column is source ... which is output)
    4. no indications of where the "middle" part of the CODE fields come from ..... BC-DF-FX

Thank you Dave, my apolegies the formulas posted is based on the real data, the file contains the dummy data with the code adapted to that.

I will fix the data to resemble the code and also indicate the directions better.
