i have data validation in a col and based on that i want the cells to lock. the problem is that i need to have the formula too. Please see attached, locking of only grey cells in the attached.
1st, you cannot have data validation AND a formula in the same cell, it is 1 or the other.
2nd, (have not looked at your file), but if you want other cells to not allow entering, depending on if the DV has something in it, then you need to apply DV to those cells
