IF Formula (3 arguments from different cells with 2 answers)

Good morning

If someone could please assist with the following, I get the formulas to work each individually. Next set would be to get all of it to work together. I know there is probably a very easy solution to this, as a noob it proves to be difficult.

N2 should indicate "Open" or "Closed". If M2 has value in it (a date), N2 should display "Open".

Thereafter when a value is entered into O2 (a date), it should change to "Closed". It will always be in that order, first value into M2, several days later a value (Date) will be entered into O2.

Last part, M2 may have a date or "info" in cell. When "Info" is entered N2 should also indicate "Closed".

Thank you in advance for the assistance.

Re: IF Formula

Also, To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Sup DBibbins

I am from the Westrand in JHB, currently working on a TOTAL Oil Pipeline Project in Tanzania (Kibirashi at the moment).

Thanks for this, it is almost there. Although when M2 is empty I'd like N2 not to display any information. Currently showing "Closed" when when M2 is empty. I have included an example.

OK, based on what you said above...
N2=if(M2<>"",if(O2="","OPEN","Closed"),"")

(did not (yet) open your file
