Divide cell value by number less than one causes #DIV/0! error HELP

Semi-newb excel user. I've searched high and low with no luck, so I'm turning here. I'm calculating true odds for a specific event. To achieve this, I'm adding up a list (column) of points assigned to each event. Easily get the total (lets say the total is A24). Now, lets say the first event has a points total of 1.6204 (in A6). The second event has a points total of 0.97 (in A7). My formula to get the odds for each event is =SUM((A24-A6)/A6) which works perfectly. However for the 2nd one, my formula is then =SUM((A24-A7)/A7) which returns a #DIV/0! error because the number is less than one. Somehow it's picking up the 0 first (0.97). How can I get around this?

Doesn't sound right. Attach the workbook.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Thanks Ali. Got this one solved. I found my error and it was nothing more than a typo on my end... sigh...
