Auto Assign a Customer Number

I am working on a customer manager worksheet and wanted to know if there is there a way to auto assign a customer number to a worksheet when a new customer is added. I am fairly new to this and just not sure how to accomplish this.

Depends on how your worksheet is laid out ... but the function is to start with the first number, then just add 1 to it.

Example :

Let's say your layout is a simple worksheet. Col A will be the CUSTOMER NUMBER. Col B will be the CUSTOMER NAME... then other descriptions follow to the right after that (Cust Add., Cust Phone, Cust Email, Cust. Manager Name, etc.)

	A	B	C	D	E	F
1	Cust #	Cust Add	Cust Phone	Cust Email	Etc	Etc
2	20190001
3	20190002	jkiu
4	20190003	loki
5
6
7	Formula in A3 : =IF(B3<>"",A2+1,"")
8	Drag that formula down the Col as far as needed.
