Conditional format based on certain text in adjacent cell

Hello, I am trying to format 2 columns based on the word "new" being in the of only 1 column.

Now I can figured it out if the word "new" was the only word, however there will be multiple words. So for column e I was able to format based upon the cell containing. But I cannot get column d to format based on column e "containing" a particular word.

Is there a way this can be done?

Select columns D & E In CF > New rule> use a formula and use
=ISNUMBER(SEARCH("new",$E1))
